Change and Continuity.

Hello!

I've missed coming to this little space on the internet the last few months. Looking back, it was mid-October that I last visited to share any thoughts, and February begins tomorrow, so this post is really long overdue!

It's not even that I have anything huge or exciting to say, but I thought I should check in and let you know I have not deserted my blog. I am still here!

So what's happening in February? Well, in my life, not much that's out of the ordinary... I am me, I have Andy, we are pootling along doing the things we do, loving each other, enjoying our home and our mogs with no major landmarks to look out for.

But it seems everyone else is going through lots of changes, battling with health, moving house, having babies, working towards a new job; all sorts of stuff going on. I am thankful to be pretty well, and likely to stay put for the forseeable future, and so I am very proud of and impressed by all these people in my little world, who are striving and pushing for the things they want to achieve.

I have lots of projects on the go, and lots of things I'd like to work on and accomplish, but one of the clearest goals in my sights right now, and hopefully forever more, is to be more like Jesus. There is so much I want to be better at - drawing, cooking, all sorts. But far deeper and more FUN than that, I want to be better at loving people, at being there for them, at being less selfless, less self absorbed, less materialistic, less greedy, more appreciative, quicker to forgive, slower to judge. I can't change the whole world but I can change the way I work within it. I didn't make any New Year's resolutions. Lord, your mercies are new each day.

Susie.
